
BANK SADERAT, ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN
In 2012 MM~LAW brought suit in a US District Court for the District of Columbia on behalf of B. Shoham and the estate of her infant son Yehuda, pursuant to the exception to the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act (28 USC § 1605A) claiming wrongful death and serious injuries sustained as a result of a terrorist attacks that took place in Israel in 2001. The plaintiffs, allege that their injuries resulted from terrorist attacks perpetrated against them and their family members by terrorist organizations, namely, Fatah Tanzim and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade acting as agents of The Islamic Republic of Iran and funded by monies laundered via Hizballah accounts at Bank Sederat.
Trial was held during the week of April 6, 2016 and judgment is pending.
