On Monday June 24th, 2024 a lawsuit was filed against UNRWA and its senior directors by over 100 Israeli plaintiffs in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Plaintiffs allege, in over 150 pages of factual allegations, the central role UNRWA officials in New York played in aiding and abetting and otherwise enabling the genocidal 7 October attacks on Israel.

In a process that lasted for over a decade, UNRWA employees in NYC moved over one billion US dollars in cash into Gaza, and ultimately into the hands of Hamas terrorists, instead of the people who need aid from the UN agency.
